Before discovering the exercises of yoga to initiate itself, it is good to know some tricks which will enable you to start on the good foot. It’s all about getting in condition. Start by finding a quiet, undisturbed place that will be your safe space to do your yoga. Set up your yoga mat, which should be foamy and not slippery.

Avoid eating right before the session, it is better to have an empty stomach. Put your phone on silent and ask not to be disturbed. Finally, choose a comfortable and elastic outfit, which will not hinder your movements. Anything that is not necessary should be removed.

The sitting position

The sitting position is one of the easiest yoga exercises to begin a session. Sit cross-legged with your chest straight and your shoulders relaxed. Remember to align your back, neck and head. Stay focused on your breathing, inhaling and exhaling deeply. With a little more practice, you can sit with your legs straight out in front of you.

The Tree position

To work on your balance, the tree pose is ideal. This position also strengthens the muscles and tones the body. Stand on your right foot, and place the sole of your left foot against the inside of your right thigh. Tighten your abs and glutes to hold the position. Once you are stable, bring the palms of your hands together over your head. Hold for a few moments, then repeat, switching legs.

Cat Stretch

Get down on all fours, inhale as you dig into your lower back, then exhale as you round your back. Keep your head up in the deep position and down in the round position. You will feel your entire spine stretch. The tension in your lumbar region will be relieved, and your intestinal organs will be stimulated.

Head down dog

This is one of the most common postures and one of the best yoga exercises to start with. It consists of standing on all fours, with your hands spread out over the entire surface and forming a pyramid with your pelvis. At the beginning, you will not be able to stretch your legs, but that is not a problem. It will come with time.
